ELSJ Membership
ELSJ members are entitled to submit their papers to be read at the Annual General Meeting or to be published in Studies in English Literature. ELSJ sends its members four publications per year:
- Studies in English Literature, a Japanese number
- Studies in English Literature, an English number
- Studies in English Literature, a regional branches combined issue
- A programme of Annual General Meeting

Membership Fees

Regular and student members are also supposed to join at least one of our seven Regional Branches. The additional fees are as follows:

How to Pay the Fees
The membership fees must be paid in Japanese yen.
■ For New Applicants Credit card payment is the only accepted method for new membership applications. After your application is approved by the Society, you will receive an email with instructions on how to log in to your "My Page." Please complete your initial payment via credit card. Your membership will be officially registered once the payment is confirmed.■ For Current Members
・Credit Card (Highly Recommended): You can pay online through your My Page. Setting up "Auto-renewal" is available and encouraged to ensure your membership remains active.
・Automatic Deduction Service: If you already have a registered Japanese bank account for automatic deduction, you may continue to use this service. However, we encourage switching to credit card payment for more efficient processing.
■ Note for Overseas Residents: Please use the credit card payment option. We do not accept International Postal Money Orders, personal cheques, or postal orders.
